I would like to take this time to thank a few folks. I noticed yesterday that Destiny (Des) has made it back on the top ten guilds with veterans for LS. That didn't take long and I feel much more confident that this time the numbers are not bloated. Since it has only been 3-4 weeks since we put up the new stone I know we do not have a lot of "one timers" right now. I have seen many new faces in Destiny and that is great. I welcome all of you and I hope to meet each of you as time passes. Stop me and introduce yourself sometime *smile*.
All of this couldn't have been done without Marina's hard work. I know it can be a pain because I added the first 120 citizens or so *whew.* Also, Marina's helpers need to be recognized for their dedication to our community. I know a few of them, but I'd rather let Marina do that for fear of leaving somebody out. The new two stone system is working great and Marina is a big part of that. *Bows* Thank you m'lady.
Also, I want to thank Carina for really helping out with the pages here. She especially has been working hard on the badges and member pages. Carina has a great way with the web.
Impatience has been dedicated to keeping activities going each week with her involvement in the Events Committee and with her own events on Wednesdays. Also, I know Katrina helps out with much of that as well.
Jaoshim has put much of his time in trying to organize quests from time to time. Those are always a welcome change of pace!
Cromwell and Berek have really picked up the spirit of The Way in the KFW. I can see improvement and higher moral in their ranks due to their efforts with the "new blood." I still consider myself a KFW at heart and it does me proud to see the great progress there.
Bleddig has always helped our community with his generosity of funds and time. The museum to this day stands as a pinnacle in Destiny. It still brings in crowds from all over. Also, the Dueling Pit league has prospered from his work on the records and refereeing.
It is due to these types of leaders in our community that helps keep us going through whatever adversity comes. The Way is our guidance, but the minds, hearts, and souls of our people really define who we are. There are many many more leaders that I have not mentioned that improve Destiny by everything they do everyday. There are too many to mention all at once right now. I will work to make it known who you all are over the coming months.
There is much work to be done with all the changes to come and it is refreshing to talk with some of you and see that you are all as excited as I am. Outside of our community I hear people complaining about this or that, but our people are strong. We see this as an opportunity to do even more than we have. None of us are narrow minded or have tunnel vision. We look to experience all that this "life" gives us and do something with it. I am proud of all of us. Everyday Destiny feels more and more like......home.

The day has finally come for the Destiny Duel Pit! If you think you are the best fighter, you can now prove it. We now have an ongoing tournament or ladder that allows each of you to show what you have in the way of combat. I won't go into too much detail since it has already been done by Bleddig. Take a look....
Get your registrations in so you can start duelling. Good luck to all of you!

Go to the Mayor's office and vote on the poll box for whether you would like to stay where we are or the new lands. I am not sure yet if we will be able to move but I would like to know your opinion as a whole. I will state the opinion I have right now to let you know what the current plans for Destiny is through out all of this.
To me, our existence as Destiny has been born through the violence, love, pain, and compassion that is in this world (Lake Superior.) With all the bad we have just as much or more good. We defeat the darker side of Britannia with our hearts, minds, and friendships. I really do not see that changing with the new "proposed" changes to our reality.
Our world will remain the same except for long term murder counts, the faction system, and a visual difference. When long term murder counts went in I do not remember a huge decrease in murdering activities. I doubt there will be a great increase because of its absense. The faction system actually looks great to me. It is a fantastic attempt at roleplaying combat characters, guilds, and town takeovers. This still is really just a revised war system and with the war systems, if you aren't involved you can stay out of it unharmed. (Actually will be forced to with the new blue healer code.)
The last thing is the new look of our world. I doubt it will be as dramatic as some want us to believe. The last I heard it might be a permanent Autumn look. That isn't so bad.
The new lands will be a "so-called" pvp free land. I have my doubts as to this really happening the way they want it to, but if it works, great. I personally will not be going there much. I rarely have to worry about being attacked for no reason. If I mind my own business, 9 times out of 10 I will not get attacked. The things is, though, that I could be attacked. I do not mind having that possiblity. Does it hurt to be killed?.....sure. Does it make me mad sometimes?.....you bet.
It is never enough to make a permanent change to my opinions though. If it gets to be too much for me, I "go to sleep." (Log off.) I have only had to do that twice ever (over a 2+ year period.)
Overall, I am not planning on moving Destiny. We have survived and thrived in this world and will continue. The penalties and pain that it would take to move to the new lands is not worth the supposed benefits (which I see as minimal.) The biggest set back will be that many of you will see this new land as the right fit for you. Some of you will decide to leave us for the prospect of having a murderer free life. This will divide up some of our numbers, but that is fine.
My opinion is that if you are happier there then it was all worth it. Destiny's purpose is and always will be to provide as many choices for you (the player) to get as much enjoyment out of (the game) as possible. If that means leaving to go to the new world, then that is great. If enough people want to live permanently in the new lands from Destiny we may have to have some sort of Sister city program. We could coordinate the big events together to combine the best of both lands.
That is far off yet, so we shall see. For now, go to the poll box and let me know what you think. Thank you.

We got everything accomplished last night with the stones (read last update.) All that is left now is to have people come back to Destiny and ask to be added to the stone again. Remember that Marina and her staff are the ones adding people back. Her staff so far is Eddard and Jeros Vled Tepes. She may have added more since last night. If you want to help out just ask her to consider you for a position. She can't have everyone recruiting so do not get dissapointed if she declines for now. Do not worry. Eventually, there will be jobs to fill in the near future.
I will be looking around for people to move to the Parliament stone. I may not move very many right now so be patient. The whole transition may take a few weeks to complete. Thanks again for your patience and if you know anyone that does not know what is going, please inform them or direct them to this page. Thanks.

The stone is still broken. The plan now is the following:
Delete the current stone completely.
Place a new stone where the existing one is and Marina will be the Guildmaster of it. This stone will have all newer citizens and new recruits. This will be the Destiny Citizen Stone. Marina will be the Head Recruiter for Destiny. She will have a staff of people to help get people back onto the stone. To start, most people will be added to this stone whether you have been around a long time or not. No titles will be given out at this time. We will just be working hard to get people back onto the stone and there won't be time for titles right now. A sytem for titles will come later so please be patient. I still have the list for confidants and advisors so those titles will be returned to you in time. Confidants and Advisors will remain on this stone as assistants to Marina to help keep the general populace informed and trained.
A second new stone will be placed in the Mage Tower. This stone will have the leaders and veteran members of Destiny placed on it. This stone will represent the Destiny Parliament. This is basically the governing body of Destiny as a whole. All Citizens that are Veterans or above (see Destiny Hierarchy for details) will be added as well as anyone holding an official position in Destiny. I, as mayor, will be the guildmaster of this stone. More details will be coming about this group.
All of these changes will be painful for a short time, but I believe it will benefit the prosperity and functions of the town immensely. This should give us a little more control on who you are and where you should be in the grand scheme of Destiny. I know many of you deserve more and getting any "promotion" is past due. We will get to you. Do not worry.
If you read this and find that many citizens are confused about what is going on please inform them of the situation since they probably have not read this message. Many citizens do not read our pages so it is hard for us to get our messages out. This is an important one, however, so please help pass the word. Thank you all for your patience while we work this all out.
