Last week's review: Monday's hike went surprisingly well. Several folks gathered at the Pub and decided to hike to the Hidden Mage Valley and stay in Felucca for added adventure. We all played around in the Hedge Maze for quite a while before finally continuing on to the valley. We rounded out the trip with a splash in the Falls on the other side of the mountain. Tuesday's emergency expedition to get the Library's jars back was a success. You can read up on that whole situation at the Ix website, or the Ix message board. Wednesday's Awards Ceremony allowed several folks to get awards:
Good work everyone! Thanks to Vulcan for hosting! Look for your awards to be updated on the web in the coming weeks! Plans for this week: Monday - This one's off. I will be at a regularly scheduled meeting of the High Council. You are all always welcome to join me for those; however, beware that they are RP events and can get a little slow if you don't keep up with the daily news. Tuesday - The Librarians have a Scavenger Hunt planned to start at 8pm Central. Each person will get a list of items and a time limit. First person with the most items wins! Wednesday - Finally! The Purple Potion Tourney! It starts at 8 central. Look for details on the message board. Looks like another fun-filled week for Destiny! ~Carina, Mayor of Destiny |

Monday- We'll go hiking Monday night. Rules of the hike are: no recall or gate supplies. Therefore, don't bring anything that's worth much either. I haven't decided if we'll do it in Trammel or Felucca. But we will start out at the Pub in Destiny at 8pm, central. Tuesday- The Librarians have asked for our aide in 'negotiating' with this person who has information about our jars. Please make every effort to be at the Library at 8pm, central. Chino will be gating out of the mage tower at 7:40, if you need a lift to Ix. Wednesday- Awards Ceremony in Destiny. Vulcan is brave enough to lead a ceremony this week. Read up on the awards and come show us your skills! The ceremony is on the mage tower roof in Destiny, once again at 8pm, central. -Carina, Mayor of Destiny |

|
What's happened? Awards Ceremony - last Wednesday The turnout was small; however we were able to grant the following awards:
I'll get those awards updated very soon. Really! I will! As we all badgered Valtros through his Spirituality test, Talanithus dropped by for a little dueling practice. Several folks jumped in to duel one another, and everyone had a very nice time. Library Rummage Sale - last Sunday Sabine and Chino had a much bigger turnout than anticipated. Thanks go to Nabzif for his talented gating! The Library was able to clear out some books as well as collected a handy amount of donations that I'm sure will find it's way into contests for you to win. KFW met - Wednesday An excited and energetic group got together to discuss revitalization of their guild. Talk ranged from guild leaders and guild colors to killing reds! Needless to say, I think those folks still have a lot of KFW blood running in them, and aren't afraid to spill some! What's going to happen? Discussions have continued on the private board about Ninja's guild idea. So far the general consensus is that most folks like the idea of someone starting a pvp guild. Some folks like the idea of role-played ninjas. We're still trying to get our ToD folks to pledge loyalty to a new GM. Impatience wants the job and is my recommendation. Please get your ToD folks to the stone soon! (The stone is currently located at the ToD headquarters in the sandstone patio next to Crystal's marble.) A goal has been set for events. Please see the events board for information on that. The board requires an EZboard account and a password to the board. Please see me for both, if you don't have them. -Carina, Mayor of Destiny |
| June 4, 2001 Town Meeting Minutes |
|
June Town Meeting Minutes After a quick gathering at the mage
tower in Destiny, everyone headed over for a surprise trip to the Island
of Ix, where our Library and vendor house reside.
From there, we resumed our regular town meeting. Carina’s items:
-Mendanbar is stepping down as GM of
ToD. It is sad to see him go; but hopefully he will enjoy retirement. Impatience, who has run half of Heph & Imp’s Scribble
Shop in Destiny for quite a while, is my recommendation as the new
Pathweaver. All ToD are asked
to pledge loyalty to her, or speak to me about other ideas and options. -Crystal and Sy have both expressed
interest in the two empty leadership positions.
Crystal is a strong daytime player.
Sy has been a KFW leader and was key to getting the vendor house in
Trammel. Both have been
around for a year or more. I
recommend them both.
Hyzenthlay is seeking advice on
making the Treasure Rune Library more efficient while taking up less
space.
Caldorean announced that the
Arcane_Consortium seeks affiliation with Ix.
Also, Thalkos invited everyone to the A_C guild house for ale and
food after the meeting. Impatience spoke about becoming
ToD’s new Pathweaver. She
plans to make ToD a viable part of Sosaria’s merchant community once
again. Sabine announced that she and Chino
accidentally brought over a crate full of duplicate books when packing to
begin their research on the island. Therefore,
they would soon have a grand reopening and book rummage sale very soon! We had a great turnout, which
is very promising! Thanks to
all who attended. See you at
next month’s meeting, Sunday July 1st! -Carina, Mayor of Destiny |
