June 4, 2000

Wow, May went by fast!  I have been so busy with hunting, organizing, and just having fun that I noticed I needed to archive last months messages.  Several issues have come up lately and I wanted to let everyone know about them.

ToD News

The biggest news is that Ivan has stepped down from the ToD Pathweaver position.   He has moved on and will be just taking care of his vendors from now on.  I want to thank Ivan for putting the effort into the position and wish him well in his new future.  After many weeks of discussing the next leadership role with several ToD members and Ivan, the new Pathweaver has been chosen.

Elsen is the new Pathweaver for ToD.  With her enthusiasm and knowledge, we can expect great things for ToD to come. Sh e has also taken Rhys Thurin as his right hand man.  Rhys has been a silent member of ToD for a very long time.  I remember meeting Rhys near the old Writ compound many moons ago and started talking to him about ToD and Destiny.  Not much later he joined and started selling his wares in Destiny.   I hadn't heard from him for months and only caught glimpses of him in town.  I thought he had left, but he has been here the whole time doing his job quietly and gracefully.  He should be a great addition to the leadership of ToD.

We will be making some changes to ToD on the pages here as well.  I will be moving forward with giving ToD their own space to expand their knowledge base for all of you.   There won't be any confusion as to what ToD is or what it stands for in Destiny.   I am excited to see what happens now with ToD. (If you can't tell.)

S_B Alliance

You may have noticed that S_B (Silent Brotherhood) has been added as an "ally" to the Destiny guilds.  They highlight orange now and will be around town more often.  S_B is a group of people that specialize in the "shadow" arts.  Their main purpose is to help adventurers find traps and open chests that happen to be found in dungeons or the like.  They do have other skills that can be useful while protecting the town.  You may see them commit illegal acts against our enemies in town, but do not attack them.  They are not to use their "gifts" against any innocents and are pledged to obey Destiny law in Destiny and elsewhere.   If you see any acts being committed against this oath I must be told.

This alliance is yet another attempt to give everyone a place in Destiny and be a contributing member of the community.  Recruitment is strict and by invitation only, but you might try to show Leviathon what you are made of when you see him.   Recruitment is by invitation only.....do not ask....they will ask you......

DW Activity Up Again

DW has started up again under new management.  I am happy to say that Bleddig has found his place at it helm.  Bleddig is taking on recruits that would like to be in a war guild.  I have heard rumors of an alliance or merger with The Firm (under Agent Orange) as well.  That should give the guild a shot in the arm it needs.  DW may become an independant guild do to this, but will still have many ties to Destiny....just not formal.  See Bleddig  or Agent if you want more information.

Des Recruitment Up

I received a report from Marina that recruiment has been at an all time high lately.   A few bad apples got into the bunch, but for the most part we are seeing some of the best people come into Destiny.  Thanks go to Marina and her recruiting staff for their hard work.  I know that Marina is also working on some promotions for many of you that have shown exemplary service to Destiny.  Keep up the great work.

Awards Committee Working Hard

I am pleased to see that the Awards have been working well lately.  Many people are excited about the new changes and particiaption is way up.  I hope to see this trend continue because it does a ton of good for the community as a whole.

I think that is enough to chew on for one day.  I'm sure I missed some things, but I'll catch up this week sometime and update you all on what's new in Destiny.
