Crater is now the Representative for Destiny in the Destiny Council. Any citizen of Destiny can contact him with your concerns for the town as well as me. Please stop and congratulate Crater if you see him =).
I would like to hold the first Council meeting this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. CST at the Mage Tower Meeting Room. It is a locked door session that only the council can attend. I am inviting one other person not on the council presently. I hope that Angelica of TIW can join us to discuss her guilds future involvement with Destiny. I am proposing that she be a member of the council so that TIW has a say in Destiny activities.
I would request that Cromwell get ahold of Angelica to discuss an alliance between KFW and TIW. I believe they would prove to be strong allies that would help protect the town from evil. They are a professed Chaotic Good guild which fits well with KFW I believe.
If you have any issues you would like brought up at the Council meeting please contact either myself, Cromwell, Nara Slayer, Galrond, or Crater. We will bring your issue up as new business during the meeting. The agenda so far is:
Since the group will be small I do not expect this to take longer than 30 - 45 mins. Please try to stick to the business at hand while at the meeting so that it is brief. If we start to dwell on a subject I will table it for a council member to follow up with for the next meeting. I will be holding meetings every two weeks (approximately.) It won't always be on the same night so that we can get participation from people most everytime.
If you are a council member and cannot make it to this meeting please try to have a representative for you attend. Thank ye all!

If you have been visiting the town hall lately you probably have seen the posts by Angelica of TIW. She has suggested that TIW become more integrated with Destiny the town. I think it is a great idea and would like to present a petition to the Destiny Council that they receive a representative seat and be formally introduced into the Destiny Community. Please contact me with your opinions and ideas on this. Angelica and I are not sure if declaring war on each other like all our guilds have done is going to work, but we'd like to hear your opinions on the subject.
TIW owns the provisioners shops on the road in Destiny and has agreed to become part of Destiny in that sense. I'd like to see us go even further with our friendship. We could use another strong ally in the area =).
I'd also like to report that Crater has accepted the nomination for representative for Destiny. Remember to get your nominations in quickly so we can start elections this week. I am going to expedite this fast so get going on it.
Many of you have asked for some notice on Award Ceremonies. I understand the need for this, but for the same reason it usually cannot be given. Speaking for myself, I usually do not know if I can be "awake" for a long period of time until just before doing it. Doing the ceremonies takes concentration which means you cannot take your eyes off what is going on for around two hours. That is a long time =). I will try to schedule some time in the near future to do one so that you all have a lot of notice for planning purposes, but no promises sorry. I still encourage those of you that are leaders to try and run some ceremonies. Thanks go out to Sylandra for helping this last time. I know Jao and Lews have done well in the past with such things too.
On a sad note there was an incident with a Knight that is still in investigation. I will post the final findings when they are more clear. Please try to keep an open mind about this so we can get to the root of the problem. Thanks. Otherwise, we have had great participation in Destiny this week and I've had many people comment on how much fun it is to be there. That is a great compliment for all of us =). Hardwork eventually pays off, hehe.

We have had some wonderful days in Destiny the past week. I am sorry for my lack of presence and messages, but I have been feeling ill lately (poor connection to the server.) I am starting to feel better so I thought I would talk to the communitee and get some messages out to all. Here are some issues that have been brought up.
- Scroll vending in Destiny has been fast and furious. We are in need of more scribes to sell their wares. We are especially in need of those that can make recalls. If you do not wish to sell them yourself then post on the boards and one of the existing vendors might buy from you in quantity. The recent increase in demand in Destiny is welcome, but we are starting to feel the growing pains =). Contact Nara Slayer to possibly get into ToD and find a spot for your vendor.
- Communication is becoming more difficult with the increasing number of citizens and Knights these days. The pigeon system (ICQ) sometimes is unsafe and not trustworthy. It has been suggested that we try to use the new communication system presented by the Gods (in-game chat system.. You can log into it and keep the little crystal up at all times. If you need somebody or everyone's attention you message them and it starts to flash.) This would be good for alerting those to come to Destiny's aid. We may need to discuss this further and see if we can make it work.
- We are still without a representative for Destiny at the Council. The council cannot start convening until we have one. I will start the process by nominating a candidate. I didn't want to do this but nobody is speaking up and I'm tired of waiting. I formally announce my support of Crater for representative of Destiny. There are several other good citizens that can hold this position but he is my choice. If you have other candidates you would like then post them and we will vote. I will begin the vote next week so please be quick about it =).
- If you have not been reading the boards on KFW you have been missing alot. Seems there is some trouble brewing within the fabric of the Destiny Guards. I do not like the signs. *OOC: Read the great stories there and if you would like to become apart of the plotline get in contact with Jaoshim, Cromwell, Katrina, and Galahad...I think that is who is behind all of it =). Keep up the great fiction (or is it real?). I've enjoyed every one of the bits of the plotline. I would especially like to recognize Jambur's additions since he is so new to us.....very nice.*
More news to come probably tomorrow, hehe. Too late now for more *wink & yawn*

News update:
All I can say is incredible!! We had a very successful coffer cleaing last night and it was a great time. I spent most the time talking to new citizens about our town and The Way, while the others guarded, gave out items, and gated people from the towns. You all did an excellent job and the give-away's success was all due to you.
I would like to thank all of our guests as well. We had very few incidents and absolutely no killings (not ones of menace anyway.) I think you can expect another give-away to happen in the future. We just can't seem to keep our coffers empty =).
With the dramatic increase in citizens last night, I do wish to reiterate some rules of the town that should make sense, but I will state them anyway:
- All persons within the Destiny communitee must respect all others until they prove they do not deserve it. This includes those that may be labeled murderers. Unless someone proves themselves to be an enemy or has proven themselves an enemy in the past they are to gain respect from all of us. You can take whatever precautions you need so as to not incur a loss from a rather shifty individual, but do not attack, loot, nor steal.
- All persons within Destiny cannot harm an innocent. If you need to know what an innocent is please read the charter on the KFW pages.
- Everyone needs to help innocents as best they can. This means what you can do to the best of your ability. Obviously, a scribe cannot ward off several enemies, but can help with directions, gating, conversation, tips of the trade, etc... You can only do what your skills and abilities allow you to.
I call all of you in our communitee to watch for anyone breaking these fundamental rules of Destiny. Please talk to me personally if one of our citizens has broken one of these rules. Likewise talk to Cromwell or Nara Slayer if a KFW or ToD breaks a rule. Talk to them personally. We are all here to keep the peace and decide in cases such as that. Be forewarned, in the case of one person's word against another we can only go by that persons time within the communitee. That may be too quick and decisive, but that is our only tool.
The Way is not an easy path for many. If you fall from it, you will have proven you are not one of us and must find a different path. Of course, you can always come to me and tell me you are dissatisfied with your citizenship and can leave. I, more than anyone, will understand and will not take offense to it. I do not wish for quantity over quality and if you are not satisfied with us.....that is a poor circumstance to continue. My goal is to have all within our fair Desitny to live happy and productive lives. Good day to you all =)!

Hail All! I just wanted to bring everyone up on the news as of late.
Visit from UOLS
We had three visitors from UOLS come by to do a report on Destiny. They were a lively group that seemed genuine about their approval of our town. During their visit we laid down more ruffians that decided to plague our town that eve which seemed to impress them even more. Thanks to all those that followed my advise in waiting until they became criminals (turned grey) to attack. I couldn't hear a thing they said (ingnore) and just waited until one of them performed an act of a criminal (went grey.)
ToD Social and Awards Ceremonies:
Melody set up and ran the ToD Social last eve and it was quite nice. We had several nice visitors and all of the community stopped in to visit. I announced that all could try for some awards and some took me up on it. The KFW member pages will be changed to reflect those results this weekend.
General Comments:
Jao and Telzarn are now members of the High Council of Britannia. Jao is a judge and Telzarn is in the High Guard. You may see this in their titles as you pass by. It will do us good to have representation in this organization. Their purpose is much like ours. Congratulations Jao and Telzarn!
Jambur has found a sponsor to take him into KFW as a paige. Cassric has agreed to help the young paige on his way to Knighthood. Jambur has shown that his dedication and strength will lead him to The Way. Congratulations Jambur!
Sylandra is running the item-give-away on Monday. Please try to help out as much as possible that night. It will probably proved to be quite hectic so we can use all the help we can get. We will need gaters in the towns, people to pass out items, and those to watch for trouble and get rid of it =). Remember, this is mainly for those people that are new to our world and need a little boost in the right direction. Hopefully, they will leave Destiny with more than just and item, but a little of The Way as well.
KFG has developed their parchements nicely and I have added a connection (link) to them in the links area. Try to stop by and see it. They have left a few messages about Destiny as well on their message board. They have opened a rune palace as well. I will be marking there and leaving it for Rathus to lock down in the Mage Tower. Remember, if you have a good spot to mark and would like it added to the rune library please give it to me or Rathus Slythes when you see us. Thanks.

We have had some annoying visitors to our precious town lately. I would like to state my position on harassing individuals. We have had this problem before and practically nothing works because they do it for the attention. That is ANY attention whether it be killing them, yelling at them, or threatening them. Only one thing works and that is tunring the other cheek. Here are the rules with harassing players in Destiny.
Do not attack them while they are blue. You will force others to make a decision to take a count for an individual that is really not worth it at all! If you do attack one of these fools please do not blame others for not helping. People will make their own decisions about helping or not. This cannot be helped while the current system put forth by the Gods only takes physical harassemtn into account.
Do not call a GM or Counselor. Seriously, they will rarely be able to nail the harasser with anything concrete in order to ban or jail them. This is basically giving the harassers even more attention than ever before and they love it. I've actually seen things get worse when a GM or Counselor comes and the outcome is still the same. You can let them know who is doing it and leave it at that if you want. I hear they keep a list of these people and eventually they get in trouble, but try to do this discretely as to not pump the harasser's ego even more.
DO put them on ignore. This will make them dumb (already dumb intelligence wise, but mute basically.) If you cannot hear them all they can do is run around like crazy or attack you which brings up the next rule. If you do not know how to use Ignore then ask a leader or another person in the community.
If the harasser goes grey, more than likely you will see MANY people attack them and hopefully the story is over. Once, they find out that we can't hear them and that when they attack they die they will go away. That is unless they are completely insane. In that case, hopefully the generous amounts of calls to GMs and counselors will eventually pay off and get them in trouble.
Please use your heads when in this situation. It helps everyone in the long run to enjoy the town more. Thanks.

I thought the Grand Opening was good but the Workshop that Jaoshim put on was even better. Thank you Jao for putting it together so fast. I think we should have many more of these and more notice will make it even better next time =). Overall, the weekend was incredible. Thanks to everyone involved or just in attendence. I, for one, had a fantastic time. I wish I could have been around more. If you missed me and wanted to talk, come around this week or anytime for that matter during the evenings (8-10:30 CST) mostly.
I put several more citizens on the stone so you should be seeing even more people milling about now. Please try to get to know one another. I do want everyone to realize that not everyone's personalities will be compatible so if this happens to you with another, just try to avoid conflict. Nothing is perfect and like any communittee there will be problems. We just need to stay tolerant of others. =)
I spoke at length with Redrum from Rivendell on Sunday. I think the natural rivalry between our towns will spark many more events for the people of our lands. Both Destiny and Rivendell will be working to provide the best entertainment for Lake Superior. Rivendell and Destiny will be adding more locked down runes to several buildings to each other's towns. I ask those of you that own buildings in Destiny to lock down a rune to Rivendell, especially in the Museum, Pub, and Workshop. Thanks. We may set up embassies to each other's town in the future as events heat up. This will provide for some great partnerships to come!
I received many interesting offers this weekend for adding to our town. Several people would like to add their houses to the town or move to our town. I would love to say that is no problem, but it really is. If you can move your building to the Destiny vicinity I applaud you. If you want to add a house to the Destiny town to expand its borders that is great. Really it is easy since all I ask is that you change the sign on your building to have "Destiny" in it somewhere. It could just say "A Destiny Residence" or something like that. We even have some that label their houses "Slums of Destiny", hehe. If you wish to also add yourself as a citizen of Destiny come see me of course.
Some building changes that may be coming this week are to the rune library and the addition of a stable. In an effort to draw more attention to our Mage Tower from the Pub (hard to do with all that good food and ale), we want to add a stable for travelers and increase the functionality and selection of the rune library. Work on this will continue this week.
I would like to announce the nomination of Jambur to KFW. He has wanted to be a knight from the beginning and will be getting a sponsor this week. If you see Jambur offer him congratulations! To remind you all, if you wish to join KFW (Warrior guild of Desitny) or ToD (Merchant Guild of Destiny) you must start as a citizen. Going into KFW or ToD is completely voluntary. If you are a citizen and would like to join KFW or ToD please talk to Cromwell for KFW or Nara Slayer for ToD. Of course, talk to me too.
I am holding another town meeting this evening in the main lecture hall in the Mage Tower at 7:30 pm CST. If you have issues that you would like bring up please issue them then. We still need nominations for the empty Council seat before we can start the official council meetings so please think about some. I hope the meeting to be quick (less than an hour.)

Yesterday was a huge success! We had many fine visitors to our beautiful town and there was plenty to eat and drink. By the sounds of the *hic*s and stumbling around I would say the latter was the case =). We did have a problem with not everyone getting to hear the speech I gave for the official opening of the town so here it is below.
Welcom Travelers, Knights, and Citizens. Welcome Friends, Visitors, and Allies. Welcome Honored Guests, Dignitaries and Ambassadors. This tis a day of joy! My fellow companions and I have worked long and hard to bring this dream to reality. Our efforts began decades ago **over a year ago** We have suffered many great losses along the way and made many enemies. However, we see the friends we have made and the fruits of our sacrifice and rejoice.
As Path Weaver for the Travelers fo Destiny for so many years, I have many notes written of my old companions. As I look back, I can remember my friends Alysis, Spirel, Kimbal, Salt, Acid, Blitz, and Sky. Those are just a few of our beloved friends that have passed on , traveled to different worlds, or are missing. Looking around today, however, we have graown from our losses and become stronger in our resolve to carry on The Way.
The Way is our Chosen Life Dedicated to looking deep into other souls to find that which is good and pure and cultiviate it into that which imporves us all. For those that shun The Way we advise avoiding contact with our precious town. We have the resolve and strength to shield others from thine evil ways and we will use it with swift justice.
I invite all to read our parchments to learn more of our community here. We have yet to receive official recognition from Lord British nor Lord Blackthorn as a town, but our hearts have and always will know this as a town. We welcome the Gods to bless our community, but we do not require it. We have called this our blessed home since we only had our Pub so many years ago.
I remember the day well. The original founders of KFW and I searched for the perfect area for our hard earned large forge. We traveled for days and for many miles. Finally, as if guided by a hidden hand we saw the openeing beside the road. No other buildings were near (not so now.)
The building began and soon we had our guild house. I was given a key and a wooden chest to keep my belongings in. 10 Knights shared that forge for years. Druing that time we lost possesion to enemies several times, but by the good graces of the virtues we regained possession.
From that day forth we look at our good fortune as a sign. A vision appeared to us to build this community.
May the kind eyes of Orion, the original founder of The Way, look down upon us with pride and approval. I like to think that the stars above shine forth for us this day. Thine hearts, minds, and souls have brought forth this great community my friends. For thine hard work, dedication and resources, I present to all who may come to appreciate a truly unique and loving town....DESTINY.
She shines as a jewel like no other. She warms the coldest of hearts. She comforts those in need. Her arms are always open and welcoming. She embraces those that respects her and crushes those that do not. May we all find her. May we all find our DESTINY!
I would like to thank everyone for helping out and attending the Grand Opening of Destiny. That is only one of many events to come so please come back often to shar in the spendor that is Destiny.
Today we are having a Carpentry, Tinkering, Alchemy, and Scribing event going on right now! You bring the appropriate materials and we will make the items for FREE from our many Grand Master level artisans. This is quality stuff my friends. You should not pass up this opportunity! Go to the Workshop in Destiny and bring your resources now.

Hail Friends!
This weekend should be an exciting time in Destiny, as we officially open!
We are looking forward to having many new faces in our fair community, and as such are planning on making tours available to all visitors who wish one. Citizens have volunteered to give impromptu tours to anyone happening by. And of course Terrance, tour guide extraordinaire will be offering tours. He has scheduled tours on Saturday and Sunday, leaving on the hour from the Pub between the hours of 2 and 6 central time.
Throughout the weekend, should anyone be interested in visiting us, but not have the means to reach Destiny, simply post in our Town Hall what major bank you would like to be picked up at, and someone would be happy to accomodate you.
The generous merchants of Destiny are also welcoming its visitors with door prizes all weekend long. Should you happen by one of our shops and be presented with a gift, do not be surpised because in celebration, our Merchants will be handing out various items to random customers throughout the weekend.
For the Itinerary of this weekend's going-ons, please visit our Events Page.
On aside note, our friend Wallis Gerard has written a kind article about her visit to Destiny. If you would like to read this, please visit UOSS, and read the Lake Superior information.
I look forward to seeing you all this weekend!

I have to apologize. I forgot to report the minutes of the meeting this Monday night.
KFW Guard System by Cromwell II, Lord of Knights
Cromwell announced his intentions for the guard system he is putting together. He has 9 knights interested now, but would like 12 total. Each Knights would have to have 2 total hours of patrol time around Destiny during a week. Two guards will be patrolling together. The time of patrols would try to be around the peak hours of population 9-12 pm CST. Only a couple of hours would be covered each day during this time, but it is something.
The Knights would have a uniform that only guards on duty would wear. Also, a Captain of the Guard will be picked by Cromwell soon from the Lord and General tiers. This person will help Cromwell keep the program running smoothly. Contact Cromwell if you wish to be a guard (if you are a Knight in KFW) or if you want to be considered for Captain (Lord or Generals only.)
Terrance, Destiny Town Healer (and Tour Guide)
Terrance spoke about the Events Committee he is heading. He has three people involved at the moment and would like to have a few more. Please contact him if you are interested. This can be anyone from Des, KFW, or ToD. He may even consider someone from outside those three stones, but that is up to him =). The rest of his speech was about the healing classes that happened last night so I won't go into that since it has already happened *sigh* (my fault).
Dren Jootz, Mayor of Destiny
I spoke about the proposed govenrmental system that Baaz had written up. He took many different ideas for different people and combined them into one. The only change we made was to have a representative from the events council (EC) on the council. We will try that for a bit to see how things go. We consider the EC to be a seperate entity since it involves all the stones in Destiny as well as outside interests.
We talked over some specifics for proxy votes and other issues, but I do not want to get too specific about the governement until we start putting it into practice. The next step is for nominations for the open seats on the Council.
We need nominations for the representative of Destiny. Since Nara Malock has taken over ToD she will be the representative for ToD as Cromwell is the representative of KFW. Terrance will be the representative of the EC since he heads it up. I, of course, am the mayor of Destiny so I will fill that seat, hehe.
Please leave nominations for the Representative of Destiny in the Meeting Hall. Thanks to all that came to the meeting. Farewell for now...

There has been a very big change tonight.
I had decided to pass the title of Path Weaver (GM) of ToD from Vlad Grim to Nara Slayer. Vlad was doing fine, but lacked the exposure to our customers and could not handle the spotlight. He is a solitary man dedicated to his potions and scrolls. Nara, on the other hand, has sustained a very successful Armory for Destiny and has proven that she has the knack for mingling with the customers. I believe she will be able to take the ToD even further than before. Look to see some changes to be implemented by Nara in the ToD soon. Please try to help Nara out during her first few weeks of taking over. It can be an overwhelming responsibility, but I think the ToD will be better off for it. Congratulations Nara Slayer, Path Weaver (GM) of ToD. Do Destiny proud!
Nara can be found most often by the ToD stone which now resides in the Armory in Destiny. For those of you interested in ToD, remember, you must first become a Citizen of Destiny for a period of time before becoming a full fledged Traveler.
Some good news from Terrance. After Wallis Gerard, Stratics had showed up for a tour of the town, but had to leave unexpectedly, she came back the next day. Terrance was able to catch her and take her on the full tour. She was outwardly impressed and was shocked to learn we have no support from Seers. She stated that she would be contacting a Seer soon for us.
She will also be putting together a report of our town to be seen on the UOSS "parchment." Thank you for your visit Wallis and thank you Terrance for helping the town out by being the helpful Destiny citizen you are.
I am also glad to report that our citizenship has increased dramatically. We have had people come from all over Britannia from all walks of life to join our community. We are the summation of all our citizens and that is becoming better and better with each day. Welcome to all those citizens that joined us recently. You shall see that you have not made a poor choice.

Hail all!
Terrance has asked me to pass along some information on his healing classes to you all, so
without further ado, here it is.
Hail Citizens of Britannia!
The Healers of the town of Destiny are holding a class this Wednesday at 8:00 CST. The class is for all aspiring healers to get some guidance and advice on their studies. All level healers, from neophyte to master are welcome to attend and share knowledge.
The class will be held at the Healer's Hut in Destiny. For those unaware of Destiny's location, transportation will be provided from the Healer's in Skara Brae, and also from the Healer's in Britain. Please meet at either of these locations at 7:45 if you require help reaching Destiny. If you have questions or would like to make special arrangements for transportation, please visit the messageboard.
Hope to see you Wednesday,
Terrance, Grand Master Healer, Citizen of Destiny
Thanks Terrance!

Hail and well met to all those visiting us for the first time. I see that our Town Hall is getting some attention and I am trying to answer questions as they come. Please do not hesitate to tell us of any problems you see here. This "parchment" is basically less than a week old and will of course have some glitches. As you tell us of the problems we will fix them. We have a handful of "Scribes" that work on this "Parchment" so we have the resources to keep the communications going between our citizens, visitors, merchants, warriors, and enemies. Yes, I would like to say our enemies would not read this "parchment" but they do ;).
We have a fine group of citizens already starting and it looks to grow quite nicely. One new citizen in particular got me to thinking of the days to come. He wanted to be a citizen of Destiny but did not want to leave his guild. Now that is a dilemma isn't it? Currently the Gods have not made it possible for this to truly happen in our world (in-game at least.) Our only solution to this is to use the "parchment" UOLS. You can go there and register your name under Destiny as a citizen and still retain your membership to your guild.
Now of course this will not give you the advantages that the citizens on the stone will have (instant recognition as a citizen, non-grey sparring with members or our alliance, ability to help or be helped if you die, etc.) However, it is a compromise that some of you might like. =) I would ask that you contact me either by email or by the Town Hall to tell me you are now a UOLS registered citizen. Thanks.
A quick reminder to all. We are having a meeting to discuss the future of the government for Destiny. The final hierarchy can be viewed in the politics section. Look it over and if you have any problems with it or would like to nominate or be nominated for any positions please attend the meeting.
One last note, we at Destiny know that any system of government in our world cannot stay rigid for too long. We realize that in order to survive we have to accept and embrace change. Other towns have adopted a similar method of guarding or providing goods for themselves and they have failed. We have seen this and realize we must do something different when times become bleak. I am always open to any suggestions anyone has as to improving our security or merchanting within Destiny. The system we have now has actually served us well for years (real time in 6-8 months) but I know we can do better.
If you are a GM of a guild and would like to discuss your involvement in Destiny on a higher level than just citizenship, please send us a message. We could have very easily kept this town to ourselves, but our goal has ALWAYS been to allow those that respect Destiny, to use Destiny. I know there are many of you out there that have searched for an opportunity to belong to a community like this so speak up now =).

I have announced the grand opening of the town to UOSS and UOVault. As you may have seen one of the representatives of Stratics for the LS shard has contacted us. If you seeWallis around please put the red carpet out for him. Message me if I'm online too. Thanks.
The coming weeks will be exciting and many changes will occur. We have several new houses acquired for the town. If you have any ideas for their purpose please leave a message in the Town Hall. Please give tours to anyone that asks. The next few weeks we will have several visitors and we need to be at our best. I know all of you have the town's best interests at heart so this shouldn't be a problem.
I would like to hold a meeting at the Mage Tower on Monday night at 7:00 pm CST about the future of the town government. The agenda of the meeint will be:
Decide on how the counsel will be structured.
We will take nominations for the seats on the city counsel. During the next few weeks we will vote on the nominations.
Galrond will present his committee for events and discuss the upcoming activities for the town.
Cromwell will hold a seperate discussion about the town guards. This will include uniforms, hours, and hierarchy.
If the meeting hall in the mage tower is not big enough we can move to the roof. While in the meeting I would ask that you only speak if necessary since we would all like to be in the meeting for a short time.
We have worked hard for this for a long time my friends. Lets keep up the great work to make this all successful. Too many towns have faded and died due to the lack of follow through. I, myself, plan to keep Destiny running for a very long time. I think with the wisdom we have accumulated within our members we have come up with a long lasting system that will stand the tests of time. You all know who you are that made this possible. I thank thee truly *warm smile*.
