I have some troubling news.  The Des stone is not working properly right now.  I will not go into the boring details other than it just doesn't work.  For now, we are putting a freeze on recruitment and title changing.  If you or someone you know wants to be a citizen please have patience.   I have been told twice now that the GMs know about the situation and are working to resolve it.  It has been two days now since the problem started.  I think it may be at least another week before things are back to normal.  If things are not solved by then we will probably have to start up a few new stones to get around the problem.   Hopefully, we can do a cleaner resolution to the situation than that, but drastic times call for drastic measures.  I will keep all of you informed as I get more information.  Thank you for your patience.

The Council assembled and much was decided.   Please read over the minutes of the council meeting to find out the future of Destiny.  With the addition of PhD to the council their description and link have been added to the guilds page.  PhD has done a great job with their pages so go check them out.

April Players' Gathering:

Cromwell and I are taking a trip down to New Orleans in April.  We knew that there are many of you from "down there," so we are organizing another Gathering.  We are thinking of reserving seats at a nice restaurant in the French Quarter and then go out on the town afterward.  We will need to know the number of people planning on going, so start posting who you are on the message board.  Telzarn is looking for a good spot for us, so if you have ideas and know that area get in contact with him.
Dates:  April 15th or 16th.  I would assume we would do this Friday or Saturday night.
*Remember, we will most likely do another Gathering in Fall in Minneapolis at the RenFest in the tradition of last year's KC Gathering.  So if you cannot make this one perhaps you can make the second one =)*

As you can see we added an awards section to the left.  It is still underconstruction, but has most of the information there.  It is the same as the first tier awards listed on the KFW site.  Later we will be changing these as we get to them in the awards committee meetings.

I updated some of the warrants.  If you have more let me know by emailing them to me.  I rearranged the government pages some to make room for the Awards Committee and other Inter-Guild Committee that may form in the future.

It is past due to have a Council Meeting so I am planning one for Thursday Night this week at 8:30 p.m. CST in the Mage Tower meeting room.   The following information will apply to that meeting:

  • People to Attend:
    Dren Jootz, Mayor of Destiny
    Marina, Representative for Destiny
?, KFW representative assigned by Cromwell
?, ToD representative assigned by Nara Slayer
?, DW representative assigned by Telzarn (Most likely Crater)
?, PhD representative assigned by Katrina or Galahad (Can be a couple of people if needed)
?, Events Committee representatvie assigned by Galrond (Or whoever is temporarily in charge)

  • Agenda
Events Committee Restructuring (Galrond's retirement), New Nominations for Chairperson and information on new members.

PhD, Vote on allowing them a seat on the council and full alliance within Destiny.

Events report from new Chairperson of Events Committee (or representative.)

    ToD report

    KFW report

    Destiny report

Awards report (I will handle this for now.)

General Discussions (Including several ideas I want to go over with the council)

I will be going over the Destiny lists to find some people for promotions in the guild.  Veteran status is empty and I think there are those that are qualified for it.  Check back on the lists every few days.  This will take me awhile to do since we do have over 150 members now.  Speaking of this, many of you that are new to Destiny may have noticed I have not given you titles.   This is due to the fact that the stone will not let me.  It seems that we have so many people on our stone that it has a few "bugs" that will not allow me to give titles correctly.  I will have to do a few different things I believe in the future.  I may have to move anyone with the title Confidant or above to another stone to allow us a better control over the citizenship.  This will be just one of the many issue to be discussed at the council meeting.

I have expanded the Government of Destiny some more to help keep things moving in the right direction.  The Recruitment staff has been created.  These people will be available to meet with new prospects for citizenship and get them on their way to being added to our town stone.  My hope is that this makes it more convenient for everyone to become a part of Destiny quicker and easier.

Along with this staff we will be developing a list of people that have been turned away from Destiny too.  This will help people understand better the situations that arise in everyday life here.  Also, it may allow some to try and appeal the decision by getting the general populace to forgive.   I will make a permanent spot on these pages for the staff, but for now I am listing the first recruiters in Destiny.

  • Rastamon

  • Chardartu

  • Eddard Stark

  • Marina (Has already been doing so for over a month now)

If people come around asking about citizenship please direct them to these people.  For those of you interested in citizenship, you can leave a message on our board and our staff will respond.  These are the only people that can sponsor others on our stone.  I periodically clear the list if it has not been reported to me by my staff so please do not sponsor anyone.

This is just one of the many changes in our government that will allow more people to become involved with Destiny in a more official capacity.  I hand pick the people that take these positions based on their involvement in Destiny everyday.  Length of citizenship and leadership are the two key factors to my decisions.  If you are interested in becoming more involved you can tell me so, but getting those two factors will do you more good.

See you in Destiny!
