| April 23, 2001 Mysterious Disappearance of Town Events |
|
That's right folks...someone, or something has made off with our Town Events. Until we find it, we're stuck with dungeon crawls and other peoples' events. No, I'm kidding. I've been completely preoccupied with a project lately. Hopefully, it'll come to a presentable stage very soon, and can be unveiled. Until then, bug your leaders for activities, or create them yourself. I'm still available most any waking hour, if you need me. -Carina, Mayor of Destiny |
| April 13, 2001 Happy Easter Weekend! |
|
Several different news items: Grand opening of Lake Superior Library, a Satellite of the Destiny Library of Knowledge is this weekend:
Bunny Fights Results!
Destiny Raffle Results! The Destiny Raffle was a fun way for us to give away some nice prizes, that we didn't get to at our Arbor Day celebration. At the Trammel site, Abbegail Weyr won the Verite Armor, and Eric Bardiche won the rope. Here in Destiny, Felucca, Falkos Meridian won the rope, and RideOrDie won the Verite Armor. Congratulations to all of you! No more blessings. <Sage> The interest team has been linked to the dev team now, so there is no separation. Player establishment blessings promoted hard feelings and hurt the community more than they helped it. <Sage> They will not be returning. Sage announced in the UOHOC chat this week that blessings are officially a thing of the past. Many of us have oft longed for some of the pretty and practical things that other places have been blessed with, but hopefully most everyone has kept having fun at the top of their priority list. Out of Town I'll be out of town from today until Sunday evening, please see another leader if you have an emergency problem. Otherwise, I wish everyone a safe and happy Easter! -Carina, Mayor of Destiny |
| April 10, 2001 Lake Superior Chef's Faire! |
|
-Received this from Lady Maetrix Highmoon Greetings one and all!! I welcome you all to the Lake Superior Chef's Faire. The Chef's Faire will be organized by The Britannian Society of Chef's (BSC), a multi shard guild aiming to bring awareness to the Cooking Profession, gain support for the profession, and keep our Britannian Brethren well fed. The Chef's Faire will be held at The Kingdom of Harmony, located East of Britain near by the Guard Post before the Swamps, on MAY 12th at 11:00am Eastern Time. The Chef's Faire is a tradition that has been started by The BSC or B^C, Britannian Society of Chef's as a way to bring awareness of The Chef Profession and to celebrate our love for our profession with the entire community. Every Chef's Faire will differ from Shard to Shard. What is to be expected of the Lake Superior Chef's Faire? The Lake Superior Chef's Faire will start off the event with a Pageant, of sorts, for both the men and women of Lake Superior. It is the Mr. & Ms. Britannian Chef Competition. There will also be a Bake off and a Grand Feast at the end. There will also be door prizes and a special prize for those whom take part in the essay competition. If you would like further information or wish to sign up for a contest, please visit the Eye and Dagger Tavern at http://24.40.54.95/Events/LSCHefsFaire.htm Thank you and I hope to see all of you there!
